Like the main stadium in Port-au-Prince, the pitch of the Athletic Club is now partly covered with tents for people made homeless in the January 12 earthquake.

The earthquake killed up to 230,000 people. according to Haitian President Rene Preval.

Officials say another one million people were left  homeless.

The players brought with them food, clothes and tents, which they spent three days distributing throughout the country.

The trip was organised in coordination with the Wyclef foundation.

It is named after the Grammy award winning, Haitian born singer, Wyclef Jean.
