TurkStat says the unemployment rate stood at 13.1 percent in November of last year.

According to the Household Labor Force Survey for December, the number of unemployed people in Turkey increased by 29,000 to 3.3 million for the month.

The Labor force participation rate was calculated as 47.6 percent.

TurkStat says the unemployment rate was 15.6 percent in urban areas for the month.

It was lower in rural areas, at just over 9 percent in December.
