Ibrahim Acar,  the provincial director of culture and tourism, said nearly 312-thousand tourists had visited the city since the beginning of the year.

He said that in the same period last year, number of tourists who came to the city had been about 253-THOUSAND.

Acar noted,  this year, it broke the record.

He said efforts carried out by the Ministry of Culture & Tourism in November and December to promote Antalya, have begun yielding results.

Acar said he believes the tourism sector in Antalya will live a golden age this year.

The provincial director of culture and tourism will attend trade shows in Berlin, Moscow and Kiev in the coming months to promote Antalya.
