Turkish Minister of Energy Taner Yildiz welcomed Sechin and accompanying delegation to Turkey.
Sechin says Russia´s Transneft and Rosneft companies have already made offers to supply a Turkish oil pipeline project.
Sechin said other companies are also evaluating supply possibilities,
Yildiz said the two countries will also discuss cooperation on the construction of Turkey´s first nuclear power plant,.
He said Ankara wants to finalize the plan by June.
Government sources have said Ankara may hand the nuclear project to Russian companies without a bidding process, if the two sides can come to agreement on technical issues such as pricing and technology.
Yildiz said Ankara had communicated its expectations regarding a reduction in gas price... as well as a take or pay condition that cost Turkey dearly last year, when Russian gas stopped flowing to eastern Europe in a row with Ukraine.
At joint news conference with Sechin, Yildiz said "before Russian President Dmitriy Medvedev´s scheduled visit to Turkey in May, Turkey and Russia will work together on several issues.
He said Turkey attaches great importance to its relations with Russia.
Yildiz said talks Natural gas is one of the most important items in Turkey´s trade with Russia.
Russian supplied 52-percent of Turkey´s natural gas last year.
